Build configuration

Hnet OpenWrt package (hnet) proposes a few different build-time configuration options. They allow you to create OpenWrt images that run Hnet out of the box.

When you want to build an OpenWrt package or complete image, you need to configure the build options. This is done by executing the following command while in the building folder.

make menuconfig

You'll have to enable Hnet by checking the hnet box in IPv6 section.

Custom options

hnet package then proposes you some custom options. They can be selected by entering the hnet-custom-configuration menu.

Platform specific network configuration file

For some platforms, we provide a custom network configuration script that disables ports bridging and thus allows hnet to manage each port as a different link. A configuration script is always installed in /usr/share/hnet/ (so that you can decide to setup our conf. later), but it is automatically executed if you select the configuration option.

For now, we only provide custom network conf. scripts for:

  • Netgear WNDR3700/WNDR3800/WNDRMAC
  • Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H

Feel free to help us add new custom configuration files if you use different platforms !

Disable dnsmasq : For Hnetv2 only

Hnet version 2 doesn't use dnsmasq. This option helps you disable it during first boot.

Set a custom host-name

You can use this option to set a fancy custom hostname.
